| The article describes the events of the historical confronting of the Nazi T4 Program and the so-called Children's Departments (Kinderfachabteilung) in the German-speaking part of Styria. The Austrian victims of the T4 Program between 1940 and 1941 were mostly gassed at Schloβ Hartheim near Linz/Upper Austria. Among the victims were at least 1,177 patients from the Graz psychiatric hospital Am Feldhof. Several Graz doctors were crucially involved in the execution of the T4 Program. Toward the end of 1941, a Kinderfachabteilung was set up, and far more than 200 children died on its wards between January 1942 and May 1945. The names of these patients have now been recorded for the first time. |
